Realise Your Vision

A pair of spectacles is a remarkable object. They not only allow us to see the world in clarity, but also shape the way the world sees us. For many, glasses are the first thing we reach for in the morning and the last thing we remove at night. Such an integral part of life deserves true consideration — an object that reflects who we are.

In 1727, Edward Scarlett invented the first modern spectacle frame, driven by a desire to bring vision to his patients. Nearly 300 years later, we continue that legacy: bringing our clients’ visions to life. Our bespoke service represents the culmination of generations of knowledge and experience across the world of eyewear, defined by a commitment to preserving traditional craft while embracing modern innovation.

THE PROCESS

Consultation
We begin with a detailed, in-person consultation to translate your ideas into a clear aesthetic and technical brief. This collaborative stage is about understanding you: your professional life, your lifestyle, and the impression you wish to create. Do you want to project authority, intellect, subtle sophistication, or bold confidence?

Together, we define the fundamental parameters of your frame — shape, colour, finish — guiding you through the wide range of possibilities. From timeless tortoiseshell to striking pops of colour, every decision is made with your personal expression in mind. We also take precise measurements and analyse your prescription to ensure perfect harmony between form and function.

Inspiration
Our process can begin with something as simple as an idea, a film still, or a memory of a time and place. If you can imagine it, we can not only create it, but make it uniquely yours.

DESIGN

During the consultation we take a series of photographs and initial sketches. These form the canvas for our digital mock-ups, where we draw directly onto your likeness to visualise possible designs. With your feedback, the frames are refined and adjusted until the final design is agreed.

MAKE

Each frame is individually handmade in our London workshop. Traditional methods are combined with the latest advances in technology to transform our drawings into reality. Cut from a slab of Mazzucchelli acetate, the frame is shaped, pressed, pinned, sanded, and polished by hand.

The result is more than a pair of spectacles: it is the pinnacle of optical design and a reflection of you. Once complete, we invite you back to try your frames in person and take final measurements to dispense your prescription lenses.
